High Reliability Training

Registration Instructions:

Employees in the School and Adult Day programs will be assigned to a training class by their supervisor. Residential caregivers and all other employees can schedule a class by contacting Pat Stockage at 203-375-6400.

Snow Days:

In the event that the School Program is closed due to inclement weather, the High Reliability training will also be cancelled. A cancellation message will be recorded on the center’s main number 203-375-6400 by 6:30am. You can also log on to http://www.wtnh.com, go to the “weather” menu and choose “storm closings” to check on the school’s closing.

Class Rules:

1. Class size is limited to twenty employees per session so pre-registration is required.

2. Anyone who arrives more than 10 minutes after start of class will be asked to sign up for another session.

3. Participants must complete entire course - individuals who leave early will not receive certificate of completion.

If fewer than six employees are registered for a session, the class will be canceled. Notice will go out 48 hours in advance

Class Description:

The High Reliability Training is a required course for all St. Vincent’s personnel. 100% of the special needs staff will attend this training over the next 6 months. It is a 3 hour course that will teach tools to help us avoid errors and to become a more efficient, reliable, and safe organization. The content is interactive and is applicable to both clinical and non-clinical units.
