Mural Brightens FEROLETO Center

Clients and staff of the Feroleto Center will have their days get a little brighter soon, thanks to the work of West Hartford student Debra Schaeffer.
Schaeffer, a senior at SUNY New Paltz, is painting a mural at the center. She began the project in mid-December. When complete, it will span the length of a hallway that connects therapy rooms and office space.READ MORE

Frances Hernandez of Seymour was named St. Vincent’s Special Needs Employee of the Year at St. Vincent’s Health Services Annual Service Award’s Dinner. At the event, employees from St. Vincent’s affiliates received service awards.
Hernandez joined St. Vincent’s Special Needs Services in March of 1989. Although she has served in many different roles, since 2006 she has been the administrator of Adult Day Services, which provides programs to adults with significant disabilities.READ MORE

Heads turned quickly as the 6’6” broad shouldered gentleman entered the room. The handsome 55 year old had obviously kept himself in shape. His enthusiastic and outwardly friendly demeanor seemed almost out of character for a former professional heavy weight boxer.
