The Ayer Neuroscience Institute is a premier training site for the next generation of medical professionals. Trainees receive hands-on training from experts across multiple disciplines and gain exposure to both inpatient and outpatient care settings.

Residency Programs

Hartford HealthCare is the primary training site for Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency programs. These programs are collaborative with the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. Faculty hold academic appointments with the university.

Administrative Fellowship Program

The Ayer Neuroscience Institute offers a 12-month administrative fellowship program for Master of Health Administration (MHA) graduates of George Washington University.

Continuing Medical Education

Hartford HealthCare, in collaboration with Connecticut Children’s Hospital and UConn Health, offers a weekly multi-institutional CME-approved Neuroscience Grand Rounds series.

Sessions are held virtually Thursdays from 7:30–9:00 AM, September through June.
